Due to frigid weather throughout the Southeast, Tuesday night games throughout Newton County were canceled or rescheduled. The Eastside Eagles, scheduled to travel to Monroe Area Tuesday night for basketball contests, canceled their games against the Purple Hurricanes. A makeup date had not been scheduled as of press time.
