Eastside's boys continued their push toward securing the No. 3 seed in next week's region tournament by erasing a 7-point deficit to defeat Spalding 77-65 Tuesday.
Ben Miller led the way with a game-high 20 points as the Eagles held the Jaguars to 24 points in the second half and just seven in the final period.
"We came out sluggish to start the game," Eastside coach Gregory Freeman said. "We did not follow our assignments on defense and shot the ball horribly all night. We did however, make adjustments at halftime - more mentally than anything, and held them to 24 second half points."
The girls also won, defeating Spalding 51-45 and both teams can wrap up the third seed with wins over Jackson at home tonight.
In the boys game, the Eagles trailed by nine after the first period and crept to within seven at the break before outscoring the Jaguars 26-17 in the third. Eastside kept up the pressure in the fourth and outscored Spalding by 10 leading to the win and evening their overall record at 12-12.
