COVINGTON, Ga. — The 2022 season has gotten off to a rough start for the Eastside baseball team. However, one of its senior leaders had a notable performance on the mound recently.

On Saturday, March 5, Holden Hall threw a complete game on his way to striking out 11 batters and only surrendering three hits. Hall’s outing helped Eastside to a 4-0 win over Jones County.

It was a memorable experience for the senior pitcher.

“I felt energized the whole time,” Hall said of March 5’s game. “I just felt like I had good control over every pitch.”

Upon reflection of his solid outing, Hall recognized how his pitch calling assisted with recording 11 strikeouts.

“I always kept the batters on their heels and they could never guess what was coming,” Hall said.

Baseball has been a fascination of Hall’s for most of his life. Hall has played the game since he was 6 years old, too.

But baseball is not the only sport Hall has participated in.

At Eastside, he has been a member of the golf team and has been a forward on the Eagles’ basketball team, too.

Even so, baseball has remained No. 1 for Hall.

“Baseball has always been a part of my life,” Hall said. “And I’ve always loved pitching.”

Additionally, Hall highlighted how special it is to be a part of the Eagles program.

“It’s a bond of friendship and family,” Hall said. “We push each other to be better everyday.”

Now, Hall is set to graduate from Eastside in May 2022. Upon his high school graduation, Hall plans to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
