The Eastside Eagles and Alcovy Tigers begin the second round of the Georgia High School Association softball state playoffs today. As the No. 3 seed in their region, the Eagles will travel to take on Heritage (Catoosa) today with the first game of a doubleheader slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. Eastside and Heritage will play a best 2-out-of-3 series, with a third game scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m., if necessary.
