ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Braves have released renderings of their new stadium in suburban Cobb County, which will seat 41,500 and include plenty of revenue-generating amenities around the ballpark.

The Braves say the proposed stadium will be the hub of a "play, work, stay" destination that includes shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, as well as a boutique hotel, office space and approximately 500 residences.

The county is set to contribute $368 million toward the cost of the $672 million project, with the team providing the remainder of the funding. The new stadium is scheduled to open in 2017, replacing Turner Field.

The city of Atlanta is considering proposals for the Braves' current home, including one from Georgia State University to convert 50,000-seat Turner Field into a smaller college football stadium.
