BHT golf tournament set for October

The Social Circle Better Hometown Association will host its annual Better Hometown Association Golf Tournament on Friday, Oct. 11.

The tournament will be held at Hard Labor Creek State Park.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. with a check-in and lunch for players, with the official shotgun start set for 12:30 p.m.

The cost is $75 per player or $300 for a foursome.

Prizes will be given to first and second-place winners, as well as prizes for closest to the pin and longest
drive.

Proceeds will help to fund the Better Hometown organization's youth programs, merchant coffees and other special events.

The Better Hometown Association is a non-profit organization that supports the businesses community and citizens of Social Circle.

The tournament is Better Hometown's major fundraiser for the year.

Sponsorships for the tournament begin at $100 a hole or $500 for a tournament sponsorship.
