A woman was arrested after kicking a pregnant woman in the stomach on Thursday.
The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office received a call at around 11 a.m. of domestic violence at a Conyers residence.
According to RCSO reports, deputies made contact on the way to the scene with a woman matching the description of the suspect from the assault. The woman, later identified as Alejandra Quezada, 31, of Conyers, had a cut above her left eye and blood on her face as she was talking on a cell phone, and "very upset."
At the victim's residence, the victim said that she was making breakfast when Quezada grabbed her hair and began fighting with her. The victim, who was pregnant, said she kept fighting to get Quezada away from her when she was kicked in the stomach.
The victim told deputies that she punched Quezada in the eye.
According to reports, Quezada had visible scratch marks on both arms and across her chest. She also had scratch marks across her stomach.
Quezada was charged with battery family violence, battery against an unborn child and cruelty to children in the third degree and taken to the hospital.
The pregnant victim was taken to Rockdale Medical Center by ambulance. The status of the victim and child is unknown.
