Mr. William “Bill” Shepard, age 75 of Conyers, a retired mechanic with General Motors Doraville Plant, died Saturday, February 19, 2011.  He is survived by his wife, Loraine Shepard of Conyers; daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Doug Weaver of Covington; son and partner, William Patrick Shepard and Robert G. Sokalski Jr. of Atlanta; grandchildren, Elisabeth Wright, Lauren Weaver and Lexie Lively; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Ellen Boyter, Steve Boyter, Dale Boyter, Gary and Robin Boyter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann Jones, Geraldine and Charles Cleveland, Barbara Barteet. Bill served in the United States Air Force and National Guard.  He retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Scot Ward’s Harry White Chapel with Rev. Mark George officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the service.
