The Conyers Citizens Police Academy put on a murder scene in a barn at the Georgia International Horse Park Tuesday night.

The enacted scene involved a woman who was murdered after having an affair with her husband's business partner. The trainer was making arangements for the couple to carry on the affair. After blackmailing the woman's lover to keep it quiet, the trainer got in a fight and killed her.

The class solved who did it, but were not able to guess the motive.

The Conyers Citizens Police Academy is a 10-week academy that began on Sept. 13, open to all local residents and business owners. The academy is conducted each Tuesday with an approximately 2 1/2 hour session each week, held at the City Council Chambers or the Conyers Police Department training room.

Participants in the academy learn about various divisions of the CPD, self defense techniques, solve a mock crime scene, identity fraud and cyber crime and participate in various demonstrations with firearms and run laster devices on heavily trafficked roadways.
