Don't know where to go to countdown to the new year? Here's just a small sampling of the many places in Rockdale to ring in 2011.

 

American Legion
The party is from 8 p.m. until midnight, $5 per person, with karaoke, music and snacks. At the Conyers Post 77 hall, 674 Legion Road, Conyers, off Ga. Highway 138. (770) 483-8216.

VFW Dance
The Veterans of Foreign Wars post 5290 hosts their annual New Year’s Eve dance, starting at 8:30 p.m., $15 a person, at 1432 VFW Dr. SW, Conyers. For information, call (404) 363-6042.

Borage Grill
Come by for a special night highlighted with belly dancing, a wide variety of wines and beers, and a special seafood menu for New Year's eve at Borage Grill, 5 p.m. - 11 p.m., $12.95 a person (price of drinks excluded). 914 Commercial Street, 770-929-8885

Seven Gables Restaurant and Bar

Whistle Post Tavern
Music and a DJ, food and drink specials and a champagne toast at midnight are in store to tip off the new year at Whistle Post Tavern, located 935 Railroad Street. (770) 785-5008.

Celtic Tavern

Marshall’s Sports Bar and Grill

Calvary Community Church, 120 Crowell Road, New Year’s Eve Service 9:30 p.m. to midnight with singing, testimony, prayer and communion featuring The Calvary Church Band, The Halls of Glory Renewed, and other singers. Breakfast served at midnight. All are welcome.

Covenant Word Church
