Want to go celebrate New Year's but hate to drive far? Here's a few local places to ring in the coming of the new year:

American Legion: The party starts at 8 p.m., and is $15 per person, $25 per couple with live band, karaoke, music, and midnight breakfast included at the Conyers Post 77 Hall, 674 Legion Road, off Ga. Highway 138. (770) 483-8216.

Celtic Tavern: Celebrate with dinner beginning at 5 p.m. along with party favors, champagne, breakfast buffet and karaoke from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at 918 Commercial Street, (770) 785-7001.
