Christmas is only a few weeks away. So we prepare for the big day, Googling recipes, and we get lost in a mountain composed completely of wrapping and bows, lost keys, children. The important thing to remember this time of the year is to RELAX. Yes, you will have to see great Aunt Bertha on Christmas and dodge pointed questions about your seemingly questionable life choices in her opinion but you still have a full 14 days to prepare your defenses. This is the last weekend that you can fully relax before dealing through Bertha with extreme grace. Or wine.
If you're in the mood for a local mood-relaxer, check out the vocal stylings of the Atlanta Boys Choir this weekend at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, or decide if "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" really is the greatest ever, put on by the New Depot Players. If you're more into an underground scene, Scribes & Vibes is all about creative expression and is happening this Saturday in Lithonia. For visions of Sugarplum Fairies, check out The Nutcracker this weekend in Porterdale featuring the Covington Regional Ballet.
If you're looking a little further afield, The Nutcracker is also showing at the Fox until the 28th, and for the little ones Disney Junior is on tour beginning this weekend at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.
And remember dear readers - RELAX.
