Web commenter claims harassment

Web commenter Shannon Black is alleging that she is being threatened after coming forward as two of the anonymous bloggers in the lawsuit filed by Alcovy High School Principal LaQuanda Carpenter.

Black has admitted to being the bloggers MsLoy and KBeet. Since that time, she has said she is receiving threatening phone calls and that on two occasions, people have come to her home in Rockdale County and made threats against her; once on June 6 and once nearly two weeks ago.

According to a police report filed by Black on June 7 around 2 p.m. in the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office, she said an unknown black male approached her when she was standing in her yard and told her "that if she kept writing untrue stories that the next visit would not be nice." She said he was in an older model, dark-colored Honda Accord with two other unknown black males in the vehicle. She did not get a license plate number on either occasion. The report states she also claimed to be getting phones calls from a blocked number.

Investigator Michael Camp from the RCSO said they have not traced any phone calls and that Black did not report the incidents to them until June 7, but added that it was an active investigation.

In an email, Black addressed accusations that the timing of her reporting these incidents were orchestrating to come out closer to the June 19 hearing in the case, in which Carpenter's attorney has requested the IP addresses from all bloggers, specifically the two which Black claims to have made.

"Well, to the people that say that I mean, everybody is entitled to an opinion and they are going to believe what they want. I have proof of everything I have spoke about. I am sure that there are many who think that these statements are false and that's OK."
