Kevin Ware was ruled ineligible for the first part of the University of Louisville's basketball season in 2011.

The former standout Rockdale guard will miss at least the first nine games of the season after the NCAA ruled him ineligible on Sept. 9, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Ware signed a financial aid agreement with Louisville in June, after pulling out of a commitment to UCF following an NCAA recruiting investigation. He was previously granted a release from his letter of intent at Tennessee after coach Bruce Pearl was dismissed.
