Victim killed in morning wreck ID'd

UPDATE: The man killed in an early morning head-on collision has been identified as 59-year-old James Stanley Moore, Sr.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash occurred on Ga. Highway 162 and County Line Road around 4:20 a.m. A Ford Ranger was traveling south on 162 and Moore's vehicle, a Ford F-150 was traveling north. The Ford Ranger crossed into Moore's lane resulting in the collision.

The driver of the Ford Ranger was flown to Atlanta Medical Center. Moore sustained fatal injuries.

GSP is still investigating the accident, but have said that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.

IN BRIEF: According to Georgia State Patrol a head-on collision occurred around 4:20 a.m., at Ga. Highway 162 and County Line Road. One person was killed and one was injured and flown to Atlanta Medical Center.

According to witnesses, there were two trucks involved, both Fords. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor.

The collision had traffic blocked in the area around 6:45 a.m. GSP is still working the scene.
