Mr. Vernon F. Atherley, age 81 of Conyers, a retired security guard, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011.  He is survived by his wife, Monica Atherley; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Sean McPherson; son and daughter-in-law, Selwyn and Shearon Atherley, all of Conyers; grandchildren, Jewell Atherley, Kristin McPherson, Jamall Atherley, Aiden McPherson.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Pastor James Harper officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.  Family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.  Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.  Scot Ward Funeral Services - Harry White Chapel, 1299 Milstead Ave., Conyers, GA 30012, 770-483-7216
