UPDATED: Auto parts store robbed at gunpoint

The suspect was described as a young black male wearing dark clothing, a beanie cap, white gloves, and a dust or surgical mask.

He was armed with a shotgun and approached an employee in the parking lot, according to CPD Lt. Jack Dunn. The employee fled into the store. The gunman broke the glass of the storefront and entered and attempted to rob the store.  The suspect ended up taking property from one of the employees before fleeing on foot.

(March 29, 10:45 p.m.) Conyers police are on the lookout for an armed suspect that robbed the Advance Auto Parts store Tuesday night on Ga. Highway 20 near Sigman Road.

Around 9 p.m., a single male suspect came into the store as employees were closing up for the night. Two employees were in the building at the time. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect escaped on foot and is still at large.

The store, which sits next to the Callaway Crossing subdivision, has been burglarized in the past.
