UPDATE (Dec. 13, 9:53 p.m.): The victims reported that a white or grey two-door passenger car followed them and flashed its lights as they headed west on Interstate 20, according to Rockdale County Sheriff's Office reports. They exited onto Ga. Highway 138 and headed north and the car continued to follow them. As they made a U-turn at Boar Tusk Road to head south, the back window became shattered. The car that was following continued either north on 138 or onto Boar Tusk Road.

The victims reported to deputies they believed the glass was shattered by a gunshot. Investigators later found a ratchet and beer bottle at the intersection with Boar Tusk Road.

"Upon closer inspection of the victims vehicle it appeared possible that a bullet did not shatter the glass and that possibly another object could have shattered the glass," wrote the reporting deputy.
