Traffic tickets now payable online

Effective immediately, the public can now use the internet to pay traffic citations via the Clerk of Courts website, www.rockdaleclerk.com.

"Citizens have been asking for this convenience for quite some time and we are pleased to respond to the needs of citizens in this way," said Rockdale Court Clerk Ruth A. Wilson. "This is one of several steps we are taking to improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness of our operations.  By providing this remote access to the courts, we make ourselves available to serve the public any day or time at their own convenience and without requiring a trip to the Courthouse."

Credit card payments will be accepted via the web and also at the Credit Card Kiosks installed on the third floor of the Courthouse. Credit card payments will no longer be accepted at the service counter.

State Court Judge Nancy Bills said, "Online payment of traffic citations is a win-win scenario - it provides a convenient option for the customer and efficient administration for the Court."
