Heritage dominated Lithia Springs behind a 7-run seventh inning Tuesday to improve to 3-0 on the young 2012-13 season.

Kamryn Toney led the Patriots from the circle, throwing all seven innings, allowing one hit with eight strikeouts and four walks.

While Lithia Springs was limited at the plate, Heritage had no trouble at all.

Nielah Floyd was 3 for 5 with an run and one RBI, Diamond Callwood was 2 for 4 with an RBI, Macarri Wilkerson was 2 for 5 and Heidi Shepherd was 3 for 4 with an RBI.

Keira Camp and Cierra Davenport had just one hit each, but both drove in three runs apiece.

"Right now it's all about still building trust," Heritage coach Jason McBay said "Some girls are starting to believe in themselves a little more and starting to believe in their teammates."

Heritage hosts Newton at 5 p.m. on Friday.

"We still have to face some of our toughest tests," McBay said. "Overall I'm pleased right now."
