Redbook magazine’s next “America’s Hottest Husband” might come from Conyers, if they can get enough votes.

Jackie and Herb Vadney, who live in Madison but are Conyers natives, are one of 25 finalists in the contest. Here is their entry description:

Herb, 44, a senior systems analyst/programmer, was nominated for the contest by his wife Jackie, 44. Herb and Jackie both grew up in Conyers but never knew one another — until Herb's mom stepped in. After meeting Jackie through work, the savvy future mother-in-law introduced them — and the pair were engaged 6 months later. After almost 25 years of marriage, he's still all about chivalry: "Herb fills up my gas tank every week and opens doors for me," she says. "When I was going to night school, he would leave love notes under my car's windshield wipers while I was in class. He still surprises me with his kindness and love."
