It's time to chow down on some sweet and savory local fare while enjoying the sights of classic cars in the combined Taste of Conyers and Conyers Car Show on Saturday, April 21, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The food festival, held on the streets of Olde Town Conyers, features small samples of dishes from local restaurants in $1 units. Restaurants price their samples ranging from $1-$4 per sample. One dollar tickets will be available for purchase in any quantity.

“We're expecting a record year for the event with the additional entertainment and activities,” said Main Street Manager Monica Coffin. "Everyone is encouraged to bring their friends and family for a day of sampling delicious food from a variety of restaurants, listening to quality live entertainment and viewing beautiful cars."

Restaurants scheduled to participate to date include: Las Flores, Hotlanta Wings, The Pointe, The Celtic Tavern, Shane’s Rib Shack, Whistle Post Tavern, Mellow Mushroom, The Chocolate Box, Jim ‘N Nicks, Sweet & Savory Café, Creamberry’s Ice Cream, Tasty Treats, Atlanta Pizza and Gyro, Dee’s Delicious Gourmet, Sugar Bakers and Cakes & Desserts, with other restaurants expected to sign up prior to the event.

The Taste of Conyers also features live entertainment, complimentary children’s activities and a cake decorating contest hosted by the Conyers-Rockdale Council for the Arts and Sugar Bakers.

This year, the Conyers Main Street Program is partnering with the third annual Conyers Car Show, featuring vintage and modern dream cars, in a combined event.

“We feel the car show is a natural fit and really enhances our claims that the event offers something to everyone," said Main Street Board Chairman Neal Lange.

There is no fee for restaurants to participate in the Taste of Conyers.  For more information, contact Monica Coffin at the Conyers Welcome Center at 770-602-2606 or visit www.conyersmainstreet.com
