The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office announced it has created a joint task force comprised of local, state and federal agencies to address the recent armed robberies at locations of an adult store chain throughout the metro Atlanta area.

The Starship Enterprises robbery task force met for the first time Monday, September 16, the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office with representatives from multiple agencies to address 13 armed robberies that have taken place at metro Atlanta Starship Enterprises locations since April 2013. Personnel from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Clayton County Police Department, Conyers Police Department, Fulton County Police Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia State Board of Pardons and Parole, Rockdale County Emergency Operations Center, Rockdale County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service attended the meeting. The task force members reviewed information from all of the armed robberies and developed a plan of action to apprehend the suspect.

Sheriff Eric Levett said, "The creation of this task force is the first step to combine intelligence that has been gathered from the agencies investigating the previous 13 robberies at the Starship locations around the metro area. The Starship business in Rockdale County has been the victim of two armed robberies this year and that is two too many. The RCSO will allocate all available resources to identify and track down this dangerous criminal. This armed suspect has shown on multiple occasions that he is a dangerous individual that has no concern for human life or respect for property. This suspect was elevated recently to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Most Wanted Suspect and the RCSO task force members will work around the clock until he is in custody."

One lone suspect is believed to have committed all 13 armed robberies of the Starship Enterprises locations in the metro Atlanta area. The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, between 5'05" and 6'0" tall, and a thin build. This suspect has been observed wearing a black ski mask, dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and uses a handgun while committing crimes.

A cash reward of $5,000 is being offered by the ownership of Starship Enterprises for information that leads to the arrest of this suspect.

Persons with information about the suspect are asked to contact Lieutenant Sonya Cordero with the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office at 770-278-8152. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.
