Conyers Police and representatives from the Rockdale County Fire Department, National EMS and the Central Georgia K-9 Search and Rescue will participate in the Take 25 Conyers event in the parking lot of Target, 2195 Miller Chapel Road SE, in the Conyers Commons shopping center, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on April 13. The Chick-fil-A cow will be making a special appearance and a free hot dog meal will be served in addition to giveaways for kids like bicycle safety coloring books, stickers and child fingerprint kits.

"As part of their Take 25 campaign, NCMEC is reaching out to parents and encouraging them to spend 25 minutes to talk to their child about safety," said Chief Gene Wilson. "We are taking that a step further and want parents to introduce their children to their local law enforcement personnel, get to know them and know they can trust and rely on them in the event of an emergency or crisis."
