Strong thunderstorms are predicted for Rockdale, Newton, Walton and Henry counties until 10:30 a.m. according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Gusts of 40 miles per hour are predicted as the storm moves across, through Oak Hill, Magnet, Kelleytown, Porterdale, Almon, Oxford, Covington, Starrsville, Brick Store and Social Circle.

The winds may bring down tree limbs blow light objects around. Hail has been spotted in northern metro Atlanta areas.
