Rockdale residents can expect stormy weather starting Thursday evening.

According to the National Weather Service at Peachtree City, a cold front will approach the state on Thursday then move across the state Thursday night.

Widespread showers, thunderstorms and maybe even a isolated severe storms are expected to develop along and ahead of the front.

The main threat will be damaging winds. However, a few tornadoes may also be possible mainly from Thursday afternoon through Thursday night.

Rainfall across portions of north and west central Georgia is expected of 1 to 2 inches.
