Open House for GDOT Roundabout

Regarding proposed roundabout at E. Fairview Rd and Ga. Hwy 138 intersection

The Ga. Department of Transportation invites the public for an Open House on Wednesday, April 29, 5-7 p.m. on the design and location of a proposed roundabout for the intersection of East Fairview Road and Ga. Hwy 138, which is currently a four-way stop. The intersection is right around the corner from Davis Middle School and Lorraine Elementary.

The proposed roundabout, a state project, will be a single lane roundabout approximately 1,500 feet along Ga. Hwy 138 and 1,000 feet along East Fairview Road. The center section will be a landscaped island, with a truck apron, and the single travel lane will have curbs and gutters. The county will also be responsible for building any street lights and signage.

Public comment and input will be collected at the Open House, and project experts will be on hand to answer questions. The open house will be held at Davis Middle School, 3375 East Fairview Rd, SW, Stockbridge.
