Snapping Shoals EMC meeting July 21

Snapping Shoals EMC will hold its annual Meeting of the Members on Thursday, July 21, at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers.

Registration is from 10 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., and the business session will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Snapping Shoals members will meet under the Charles Walker Arena where there will be several hundred chairs set up in addition to the bleacher seating. Parking is free. Free soft drinks and snow cones will be provided, and food may be purchased from the Horse Park for lunch. Highlights will include informational booths, a health fair, children’s games, registration gifts and a drawing for prizes.

The grand prize this year is a 2002 Ford F-250 that is being retired from the Snapping Shoals fleet. Other prizes include a color television, DVD player and microwave oven.

The oldest married couple in attendance will receive a $100 credit on their Snapping Shoals power bill. You must be a Snapping Shoals EMC member, be registered at the meeting and be present for the drawing to be eligible to win a prize.

Snapping Shoals Electric Membership Corporation, a consumer-owned cooperative, serves about 95,000 homes and businesses in an eight-county area in Newton, Rockdale, Henry and DeKalb counties. Portions of Butts, Walton, Morgan and Jasper counties are also included.
