Football stars from Salem and Heritage high schools signed letters of intent during National Signing day at Rockdale Career Academy Wednesday.
The event, broadcast live at playonsports.com/channels/georgia/events49709, saw six players from Heritage commit to play football in college, while Salem had five moving on to the next level. Rockdale, rich in underclassmen didn't have anyone sign at RCA but did have a former player move on from junior college to a Division 1 four-year university in Neville Hewitt.
Hewitt, who spent the last two seasons at Georgia Military signed wtih Marshall on Wednesday.
At RCA, heritage led off the day's activites with Chase Alford agreeing to go to Georgia Tech as a prefered walk on.
Dustyn Moore then signed with Kent State, followed by Dominique Packer with Harvard, Michael Raiford with Naval Academy, Tyler Weaver with Air Force and Terrell Flowers with Albany State.
From Salem, Rafeeq Badee, Kevin Holmes and Damion Gordon signed with Savannah State and Anton Leonard and Bilal Hewitt inked letters wtih Benedict College.
