Candice Allisse Biamby, Salem High Class of 2013 and the Rotary STAR student for SHS, was recently awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship.

Biamby is headed to the University of California at Berkley in the fall to study computer science.

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program selects 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice.
