A fugitive wanted for a shooting in DeKalb County was found at a Conyers residence and arrested by Conyers Police Tuesday.

CPD's Special Response Team received word from DeKalb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Squad that Nejoure Lamar Harrigan, 32, of Conyers was at a residence on South Hicks Circle in Conyers.

"Our SRT team, who happened to be training yesterday, was already in the area," suited up with gear and equipment, said CPD spokesperson Investigator Kim Lucas.

The Special Response Team was approaching and surrounding the residence midday when Harrigan reportedly attempted to escape climbing over the back deck. He was immediately surrounded and taken into custody without incident.

Harrigan was wanted for Aggravated Assault for shooting a victim in DeKalb County.

The suspect is accused of shooting the victim in the stomach in September.
