Bountiful sunshine and a high of 83 this afternoon will give way to a 90 percent chance of severe storms as a strong cold front moves through the metro Atlanta tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
Expect a low overnight of 49 and 1-2 inches of rain. The weather service says winds in excess of 60 mph and large hail are possible.
Rain should end by 8 a.m. Tuesday. The high Tuesday will be 61, then rebound to 72 on Wednesday and 78 on Thursday, with lots of sunshine.
