I never went to my prom because I didn’t have a date, so an adult prom is a fantastic idea for someone like me, or for people who just had so much fun the first time they want to do it again. Except this time you can drink freely and not hide warm beer in the limo for nips in the parking lot in between dances. Not only is there a bar, but there’s food, and you don’t have to worry about snarky teenagers messing everything up. The dress is totally formal, and the setting is straight up prom. I’m a little sad I’m not going, actually. So get your sparkly dress out, and forget about a date – unless you just have one on the ready – and do prom right.
