Second Annual Rockdale Tea Party, Oct. 2

Rockdale conservatives, Libertarians, independents and folks protesting big government and taxation are coming together Saturday, Oct. 2 for the second annual Rockdale Tea Party at Pine Log Park from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Speakers scheduled for the day include Fourth Congressional District Republican candidate Liz Carter, State Senate District 43 Republican candidate Diana Williams, County Commission Post 2 Republican candidate and incumbent JaNice Van Ness, State District 95 Republican candidate Rodney Upton, and State Sen. John Douglas, Melvin Everson and Libertarian candidate for Governor John Monds,

The day will also include live music by organizer Dave Williams' band Ultimate Addiction, food provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and playground for kids as well as networking opportunties.

Another Tea Party will also be hosted nearby in Covington, at the downtown Covington Square, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
