Campers from near and far braved the summer heat and joined fellow worshipers in a weeklong celebration of God's glory for the 182nd Salem Camp Meeting at the Salem Camp Ground in Covington from July 9 - 16.

The week's activities included music performances by local artists and choirs, classes for all ages, shirt tie-dying, swimming and slip and slide fun. Campers were awarded with ribbons for attendance and nick-nacks for memorizing scripture.

Dr. John Mathison, senior minister of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, and Dr. David Swanson, senior pastor and head of staff at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, Florida, joined the congregation this year as guest leaders of morning and evening worship services.
