Rockdale County Public Schools (RCPS) recently received results for the Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT) for all 11th grade first-time test takers. The following are the results of RCPS students as released by the Georgia Department of Education.
English Language Arts:
RCPS = 93% pass rate, HHS=95% RCHS= 88% SHS=98%
Math:
RCPS = 93% pass rate, HHS=95% RCHS=89% SHS=99%
Social Studies:
RCPS = 90% pass rate, HHS=93% RCHS=86% SHS=94%
Science:
RCPS = 90% pass rate, HHS=91% RCHS=86% SHS=97%
"These results show improvement in all content areas," says Rockdale County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Samuel King. "As a district, we exceed the state scores in all areas except mathematics, where we are 1 percent below the state. These results are strong; however, we realize there is still work to be done and we will continue to raise the bar for our students."
