Conyers Middle School's Program Challenge and Service Learning Classes will be collecting items for health kits now through March that will be sent to victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The first shipment of kits will be sent on Feb. 15.

Students and teachers will be collecting the items below:

1 gallon-size Ziploc plastic bag

1 hand towel (15" x 25" up to 17" x 27", no kitchen towels)

1 washcloth

1 comb (large and sturdy, not pocket-sized)

1 nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)

1 bath-size bar of soap (3 oz. and up)

1 toothbrush (single brushes only in original wrapper, no child-size brushes)

6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages

At this time, these are the only items being collected. At a later date, they will collect clothes and shoes to send.

All items must be new. You can donate the entire kit in the Ziploc bag or you can bring in individual items.

Donations can be dropped off at the Parent Center upon entering CMS, located at 400 Sigman Road, Conyers, 30012. For more information, call (770) 483-3371
