Investigators think the man who robbed a south Rockdale BP gas station at gunpoint on Sunday may be linked to two other convenience store armed robberies in the metro-Atlanta area.
Cobb County police investigators are looking for a suspect who struck a QT on Tuesday, June 18, just before 1 a.m. at 2804 Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta.
According to the Cobb County Police department, a male entered the Quick Trip and purchased a small item. As the female clerk was making change, the male offender produced a handgun and demanded that he be given money from the cash registers. After receiving the cash, the male fled from the business on foot in an unknown direction.
Just 45 minutes prior to robbing the QT station, the suspect robbed a BP gas station at 5018 Peachtree Boulevard in Chamblee, according to investigators from the Chamblee Police Department.
In the June 16 armed robbery in Rockdale, the suspect entered the BP gas station at 2992 Highway 155 around 10:25 p.m. He approached the store on foot, robbed the store at gunpoint and then fled the area on foot.
The suspect was described as a slender black male with dark complexion and average to below average height. He was wearing a black wave cap, khaki pants, a dark multi-colored shirt or jacket, tan and white shoes, and was armed with a black handgun.
