Saturday July 10, Rockdale Gymnastics Cheerleading and Dance will be flipping out for their annual Summer Sizzler Gymnastics meet, headed by gym owner, Drew Davis. This meet consists of United States Gymnastics Association Levels 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and will be made up of over seven different gymnastics teams from all over the state of Georgia.

The meet begins at 10a.m. and awards will be given at 1p.m. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children.

Rockdale Gymnastics has three girls competing in the meet, Grace Davis, Sydney Woody, and Heather Boozer. The girls will be competing in four events, bars, beam, floor, and vault. And awards will be given for the highest three scores in each event and the highest three scores all around.

The girls competing in this meet are working to try to get a high enough score to move on to the next level.

"This is one of our smaller meets, but the gymnast are really excited to compete, so they can move on to the next level" said Davis "and it really gets us geared up for the rest of our competitive season."

Rockdale Gymnastics also host many other meets throughout the year, including the Hilton Head Invitational, the Smoky Mountain Invitational, and the Courtney Kupets Invitational. Rockdale Gymnastics is located at 1774 Old Covington Road. For more information, call 770-483-0229.
