Rockdale County Firefighters will take to the streets for three Fridays August 7, 14 and 21, to team up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to "fill-the-boot."

During the boot drive, firefighters will be stationed at various locations throughout the County accepting donations in support of MDA. All monies donated will be used to aid local children and adults living with neuromuscular diseases by providing wheelchairs, leg braces, clinic visits, support groups and a chance for children to attend the local MDA Summer Camp in Rutledge.

Rockdale County Firefighters have participated in the boot drive campaign for over 10 years and raised $15,516 last year in support of MDA. Several firefighters also volunteer at the MDA camp as counselors.
