Work recently got underway on the resurfacing of 15 miles on 54 county roads that are in disrepair. The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners approved a $2.39 million contract with Pittman Construction to complete the work. It is the fifth resurfacing contract awarded under the county's Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program.
