Rockdale certified 'StormReady'
StormReady-community-naming

Rockdale County was named a ‘StormReady’ community by the National Weather Service, one of 67 such sites in the state, at the Feb. 8 Board of Commissioners meeting. Sheriff Jeff Wigington, the county’s Emergency Management coordinator, credited Capt. Myra Pearrell with the achievement.

“They can do what they can in Peachtree City, we can do what we can on our part, but it’s up to you to take care of your individual family and be prepared for several days, sometimes.”
