Andre Wood helps teach some Rockdale Cares residents how to cook an assortment of Thanksgiving foods on Friday, Nov. 20. This group prepared the most important part of any Thanksgiving meal - the dessert. Wood taught each of the residents how to prepare lemon bars, as well as teaching them good kitchen hygiene and cooking procedures. Different groups came in throughout the day and prepared dishes such as sweet potato cobbler, cheesecake and more. While not working in the kitchen, the residents celebrated the season by watching Thanksgiving and Christmas movies. A Thanksgiving meal was served to all the residents on Monday, featuring food made by the Rockdale Cares staff and some of the residents.
