The Rockdale Career Academy Future Farmers of America Agricultural Marketing Plan Team recently won the State FFA Agricultural Marketing Plan Career Development Event at the 82nd Georgia FFA State Convention in Macon, held April 22 to April 24.

Team members Kyle Hood, Darian Sinclair and Jennifer Smith became eligible to compete in the state event after winning the Area II Agricultural Marketing Plan Career Development Event. The team advances to national competition held in conjunction with the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in October.

The FFA Agricultural Marketing Plan Career Development Event, which was sponsored by. Specialty Sales Company and the Georgia Cooperative Council, and as a special project of the Georgia FFA Foundation, is designed to assist students with developing practical skills in the marketing process through the development and presentation of a marketing plan. Students research and present a marketing plan for an agricultural product, supply or service.
