R. David Schaedel, age 73 of Conyers, died Sunday, September 25, 2011.  He is survived by his wife, Paula Schaedel, Conyers; son, Mike Schaedel, Conyers; daughters & son-in-laws, Gail & James LeClair, Loganville; Trish & Randy Young, Conyers; grandchildren, Taylor Schaedel, Drew LeClair, Reed LeClair, Avery LeClair, Ryan Young, Nicole Young and Paul Young.  Mr. Schaedel was a great Ohio Buckeye fan and was a 1956 graduate of South High School in Columbus, OH.  He was a member of the Humboldt Lodge, sang in the Yaarab Chanters, a member of the Yaarab Temple and a Scottish Rite Mason.  Mr. Schaedel was a member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and had retired from JC Penney where he was an Accounting Manager.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September  29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church with Pastor Nelson DeBrosse officiating.  Mr. Schaedel will lie in state one hour prior to the service.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Contributions may be made to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, 1001 Johnson Ferry Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342.  Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.  Scot Ward Funeral Services, 699 American Legion Road, Conyers, 30012, 770-483-7216.
