Rockdale County residents raised $96,152 for Relay for Life this year as 46 teams and 465 people participated in the annual fundraiser for the fight against cancer.
Supporters gathered April 27 at the Georgia International Horse Park to honor survivors, remember lost loved ones and pledge their support in the continuing fight to find a cure for cancer.
The top three team fundraisers were Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at $9,953, Pine Street Roadrunners at $7,255 and Shoal Creek Sharks at $6,631, according to the official Relay for Life website.
The top three individual fundraisers were Ray Allen with $5,283, Lynda Kimm with $3,185 and Candace Frazier with $1,425.
