Fine Arts students at Rockdale County High School took to the stage for a public holiday concert Dec. 13 while also giving back to the community’s less fortunate. Those attending paid a $1 fee or brought a canned good for admission. The RCHS band, drama and musical theater students performed in solos, small ensembles, and full class settings, according to RCHS faculty. Besides traditional renditions, faculty said students also put a spin on old favorites for contemporary arrangements. Admission collections went to support the school’s Fine Arts department. The canned goods were donated to Conyers First Baptist Church for distribution.
