The icy weather didn't stop an armed robber from striking early Thursday morning.

Just after midnight Thursday, Feb. 13, a single male suspect used a black semi-auto handgun to rob CVS, 1541 Hwy 20 NE in Conyers.

The business was staffed with three employees at that time. The suspect demanded money from the register and was last seen on foot running East through the parking lot parallel to Sigman Road and towards Papa Johns Pizza.

Conyers Police officers answering the call were delayed in their response due to hazardous icy road conditions. The tire chains on one of the officer's vehicles broke, creating another hazard, and further delaying response time. Officers were unable to track the suspect due to a multitude of footprints in the snow around the business and along Sigman Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, black hooded jacket with fur around the hood, black ski mask, black pants, white gloves and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404 577-TIPS (8477) or www.crimestoppersatlanta.org
