Patriotic Porterdale
4th-of-July-Children-at-a-Parade1

The rain may spoil events today, but Porterdale is prepared, and has rescheduled their Fourth of July festivities for Saturday. But just because you can’t celebrate the day of, doesn’t mean you can’t have a blast this weekend – see what I did there? Blast, fireworks? It does get exhausting being this witty. The parade will start at 4 p.m., followed by a concert by TNG from 5 to 9 p.m. and a cage wrestling (yes!) match from 5 to 8 p.m. Once it gets dark, enjoy some lovely fireworks over the Yellow River. The traffic won’t be nearly as bad as that in Atlanta, and there’s something to be said for celebrating with your neighbors. AND, you can – and are encouraged – to come early enough to walk in the parade, wearing your best patriotic fashions, of course. Represent, Porterdale!
