The Rockdale Rotary Club recognized two members on Jan. 4 with awards for exemplary service and conduct in the community. Darlene Hotchkiss, left, manager of Hedrick & Dodson Family Dentistry and a member of the Rockdale County Public Schools board for the past 15 years as well as a board member of the Mercy Heart medical clinic for the uninsured, was given the W. Lee Arrendale “Vocational Excellence” award for promoting high ethical standards in the community. Rockdale County State Court Judge Nancy Bills was given the Robert S. Stubbs II “Guardian of Ethics” award for outstanding contributions to foster the development of ethics. Bills created and chairs the Domestic Violence Task Force and helped champion and oversee the DUI court program. (center left) District 6910 Gov.
